Dialogue Tags

There is a comma after any dialogue tag and in. For instance, “said” “commented” “whispered” unless it is the word “as” after the dialogue tag.
“I know,” he said as...
"I know," he said,
"I know," he said.
"I know?" he said,
"I know?" he said.
"I know!" he said,
"I know!" he said.
"I know—" he said,
"I know—" he said.
“I know,” he paused, “random additional dialogue”
(capitalize if it is name, everything else is the same)
